The wrinkles and folds! Those eyes! That tooth. When I saw this photograph, I knew I wanted to draw him. I purchased use of the photo and got to work. To render the white fur with black charcoal, I used charcoal dust dry-brushed with soft paint brushes to produce a subtle gray. Fine eraser work created the white fur highlights. This piece is framed with a charcoal-gray mat and matte-black gallery frame.
