Stained glass art has been my, Amy Watts, main profession since 1996. Residential, commercial, and church stained- and leaded-glass windows, doors, and art pieces are designed and assembled with detailed craftsmanship using lead caming, beveled glass and hand-cut stained glass. While I've worked at a studio that supplied custom sizes to match Home Depot's mass produced leaded-glass doors, my passion lies in highly detailed, custom pieces.
I fell in love with the beauty of stained glass apprenticing at a glass studio while attending art school for textile design. Artistically I enjoy the color, line, and the movement created by ever-changing light. And from an artisan standpoint, it's greatly satisfying to create a practical, well-crafted object using precision tools with my hands.
